Summer Update

August is upon us and even in the heat of summer, football is on everyone’s mind.  The Spread Offensive Camp is next weekend, August 8th & 9th at Lynnfield High School.  It’s a great time for the kids to come together as a team and get ready for the season.

Practice officially starts on Monday, August 24th.  All players must have an up to date physical on file with the school nurse. You cannot begin practice without one. Please check with the school nurse to make sure your physical is up to date for the season.

That’s all for now.  Check back for more updates as we get ready for the 2015 season.

Game Day “Shout-Out”

Send a “Shout-Out” to a member of the Pioneer Football Team!

Your message will be announced during the last home game on Saturday, October 19th.

The last home game of the season is Senior Day.  Send a special message to your son or to the team.   Anyone can send a “Shout-Out”.

Messages will be read over the loud speaker throughout the game.   The messages should be a congratulatory/well wish to your son/team.  This is a great way to remember the seniors as they play their last high school football game at home.

The cost of the Shout-Out is $20.  If you would like to send an announcement to a player/team member, click on the link Shout Out to write your message.

2013 Golf Tournament

The 2nd Annual Lynnfield Pioneer Football Club Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013 at the Black Swan Country Club in Georgetown, Massachusetts.  Tee time is scheduled for 1:30 pm.  All proceeds of the event will benefit the Lynnfield High School Football Team.

If you only enter one tournament a year, this is the one to enter. The day will start off with a boxed lunch during the registration process.  After registration, participants will be encouraged to try their luck at the Putting Contest.  There you will have a chance to try and win the cash prize.  You can also try the putting contest after the 9th hole.

Once course officials say, “Go”, participants will be treated to a variety of contest holes including a hole in one, longest drive, and closest to the pin.

After the golfing wraps up, participants and friends of the program will be welcomed to one of Black Swan’s dining rooms for dinner, raffles and prizes.

This promises to be another exciting tournament for the Lynnfield Pioneer Football Club.  This will be the Club’s major fundraiser again this year, and without it the program would be not be able to support the team due to the budget cuts over the years. We look forward another successful outing!

Registrations are now being accepted.  Sign up online before its too late.   You can also register for golf, sign up for a sponsorship, or reserve your spot at the banquet by credit card or check by printing the registration form and sending it to Lynnfield Pioneer Football Club, P.O. Box 1123, Lynnfield, MA 01940.

2012 The Season to Remember

As the players reported to the locker room for the last time this year to hand in their equipment, for the 17 seniors it was the last time they will step into the locker room as high school football players, as part of the team.    For four years they were there everyday during football season and during the off-season for training.  Now it’s time to say good-bye to a season to remember.  With a trip to Gillette Stadium to play in the Super Bowl, it will be hard to forget.
